Selecting The Right Cisco CCNA Training - News

March 12th, 2010

A Cisco training course is intended for individuals who wish to understand and work with routers and network switches. Routers join up networks of computers via the internet or dedicated lines. We’d recommend that you should start with the CCNA. It’s not advisable to launch directly into the CCNP as it’s a considerable step up - and you need to work up to it before you take this on.

To take this course, you should be clear on the operation and function of computer networks, as networks are connected to routers. Otherwise, you’ll probably struggle. You might first take a course in the basics (CompTIA Network+ as an example - maybe with the A+ as well) and then do a CCNA course. Some companies will design a bespoke package for you.

Having the right skills and knowledge before commencing your Cisco training is crucial. Therefore, discuss the requirements expected of you with someone who can tell you what else you need to know.

It’s quite a normal occurrence for students not to check on something that can make a profound difference to their results - the way the company breaks up the courseware elements, and into how many parts.

Drop-shipping your training elements piece by piece, according to your own speed is the typical way that your program will arrive. Of course, this sounds sensible, but you should take these factors into account:

What if you don’t finish all the sections or exams? Maybe the prescribed order won’t suit you? Due to no fault of yours, you may go a little slower and therefore not end up with all the modules.

To be in the best situation you would have all your study materials sent to your home before you even start; every single thing! This way, nothing can happen down the line which could affect the reaching of your goals.

Kick out a salesman who recommends a training program without performing a ‘fact-find’ to assess your abilities plus your level of experience. Always check they have access to a wide-enough stable of training programs from which they could give you an appropriate solution.

Remember, if you’ve had any relevant previous certification, then you can sometimes expect to commence studying further along than someone who is new to the field.

If you’re a new trainee commencing IT study from scratch, it can be helpful to avoid jumping in at the deep-end, starting with some basic PC skills training first. This can be built into most accreditation programs.

Often, individuals don’t catch on to what information technology means. It is stimulating, innovative, and means you’re doing your bit in the gigantic wave of technology affecting everyones lives in the 21st century.

We’re barely beginning to get a handle on what this change will mean to us. The way we correlate with the world as a whole will be inordinately affected by computers and the internet.

Incomes in IT are not a problem either - the usual income across the UK for an average person working in IT is significantly better than remuneration packages in other sectors. It’s likely you’ll make a much better deal than you could reasonably hope to get in other industries.

Excitingly, there’s not a hint of a downturn for IT jobs expansion throughout this country. The sector is still growing rapidly, and as we have a significant shortage of skilled professionals, it’s most unlikely that it will even slow down for years to come.

The old fashioned style of teaching, involving piles of reference textbooks, is usually pretty hard going. If this describes you, look for learning programmes which feature interactive and multimedia modules.

Research into the way we learn shows that long term memory is improved when we use all our senses, and we get physically involved with the study process.

Top of the range study programs now offer interactive CD and DVD ROM’s. Through instructor-led video classes you’ll find things easier to remember through their teaching and demonstrations. Knowledge can then be tested by utilising the practice lab’s and modules.

It’s very important to see courseware examples from any company that you may want to train through. It’s essential they incorporate full motion videos of instructors demonstrating the topic with lab’s to practice the skills in.

Avoid training that is purely online. Ideally, you should opt for CD and DVD ROM courseware where offered, as you need to be able to use them whenever it’s convenient for you - you don’t want to be reliant on a good broadband connection all the time.

March 11th, 2010

This article explains the way to transfer the hard drive for xbox 360 using the Drive Transfer Kit to transfer all content from one hard drive to another

You will need :

An Xbox 360 console

Two Xbox 360 hard drives

Data transfer cable (included with the Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Kit)

This could be bundled when you buy the Xbox 360 Hard Drive

Data transfer software program (incorporated with the Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Kit)

The Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Kit transfers all content to another hard drive. Read the users guide which you get with the Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Kit.

You are able to transfer all content from one Xbox 360 hard drive (this is called the “source”) to another Xbox 360 hard drive (this is referred to as the “destination”). The data from the source hard drive overwrites the content on the destination hard drive.

Naturally data is only able to be moved to another hard drive as long as the destination hard drive is the same size or bigger than the source hard drive

Once the transfer is complete, the data on the destination hard drive will be replaced with the content from the source hard drive. This data includes your saved games and Xbox LIVE downloads. When the transfer is complete, the content on the source hard disk is erased.

Movie rentals

Films you have rented on the source hard drive will not be available after the move. Ensure that you watch all Xbox LIVE Marketplace movie rentals prior to using the Hard Drive Transfer Kit.

Using the Hard Drive Transfer Kit

Warning with any transfer, there is a small risk that some or your entire content might be lost during the transfer.

Only one hard drive can be connected to your Xbox 360 console at a time. The transfer cable can’t be used to connect multiple hard drives to your console at the same time.

To transfer all content from one hard drive to another

Switch off your Xbox 360 console with your current hard drive (the “source” drive) attached.

Disconnect all accessories from the console.

Turn on the console. Connect a controller and turn it on. You have got to use a controller during the content transfer.

Connect the transfer cable to the hard drive that you are moving content to (the “destination” hard drive).

Important The transfer cable connects to the destination hard drive in only one orientation. Do not force the connector on.

Connect the transfer cable to the destination hard drive in the direction shown below.

Plug the other end of the transfer cable into the USB port on the back of your Xbox 360 console.

Important Do not plug the transfer cable into a USB port on the front of your Xbox 360 console.

Load the Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Disc (included with the transfer kit) into your Xbox 360 console. Instructions will appear on the screen

The transfer process can take more than 60 minutes, depending on the amount of content on the source hard drive.

The Xbox Dashboard is not available during the content transfer.

If the transfer is interrupted for any reason, your content will remain on the source hard drive. You may restart the transfer process anytime until the process is complete.

To remove your Xbox 360 hard drive

1.Switch off your Xbox 360 console.

2.Locate the hard drive on the top of your console (or on the left side, according to how your console is oriented).

3.Press the release button on the hard drive.

4.Lift the hard drive away from the console.

To attach your hard drive
